Habitat for Humanity provides a unique opportunity for hardworking families to build and buy their own homes with a zero-interest mortgage. Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley builds homes in Salem, Keizer, Stayton, Lyons, Aumsville, Mill City, Mehama and Sublimity. If you are interested in buying a Habitat home elsewhere, you will need to contact the Habitat affiliate in your area.

Qualifying for a Habitat Home


First you must determine if your family qualifies for a Habitat home. Qualification is based on a family's need, ability to make monthly mortgage payments, willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity, and legal residence status. Learn more about qualifying for a Habitat home.

Application Process

The first step in the application process is to attend an upcoming information meeting. Due to the uniqueness of our program the application process may take up to three months. For more information please refer to the flow chart below or call 503-364-6642 if you have any questions.
