Sponsor a Build

At Habitat for Humanity, we believe that every person deserves a safe, stable place to sleep at night.  When you sponsor a Habitat home, you help a low-income family realize their dreams of owning a home.

Many sponsoring organizations look forward to helping to build the home.  Habitat for Humanity asks sponsor groups to provide 10-person volunteer teams for each four-hour build shift: Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. -  noon, or Saturday afternoon from 1:00 — 5:00 p.m.  Most builds last seven months.

The level of volunteer participation varies with sponsorship commitment.  For instance, a cornerstone partner may choose to provide morning and afternoon volunteer teams during the first Saturday of every month for the duration of the build:

According to donor preference, Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley will gratefully acknowledge your support in the following ways:

• Display sponsor’s name on the build site signboard
  
• Recognize sponsor in Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley’s quarterly newsletter (3,800 readers).
  
• Present a plaque thanking sponsor with photos of family and house.
  
• Invite sponsor to attend Dedication ceremony celebrating house completion with homeowner families
