Current Builds

Ryan and Monica Hale and their two children have been selected as the Cherry City Build partner family. The Hales work full time for Youth with a Mission (YWAM) ministry and currently live in a 30 year-old mobile home on the YWAM campus.

John and Erika Goetz and their two children have been selected as our Veteran Build partner family. John, an Army Veteran and state employee, and Ericka, a stay at home mom, are looking forward to working with Habitat and community members to build a safe, healthy home with access to good schools for their daughters.

Courtney Herring and her two daughters have been selected as our 2011 Faith Build partner family. The family currently lives in a neighborhood with gang activity, including a fatal shooting in 2010.

The Alvarado family has been selected as our Mill City Build. The Alvarados and their three sons currently live in an a older, crowded home in need of repairs.

Future Builds

The Riggs

The Riggs family has been selected as our 2012 SLAMMS build. Lisa Riggs is a hard-working, widowed single mother of two and a lifelong resident of the Santiam Canyon. Although Lisa works full time as a Jeld-Wen parts manufacturer, finances are tight and the family has endured difficulties affording the cost of rent and utilities. Memories raising her children and the community's friendly faces and feeling of closeness make it a place Lisa hopes to one day be able to call a permanent home for her loving family. Construction on their home will begin in 2012.

The Kennedys

Megan Kennedy is no stranger to hard work and dedication. She has fought, and won, a battle with addiction and homelessness and now serves as an advocate for families in similar situations. After spending the first five years of her daughter's life living in more than 13 places - including a shelter and her car parked on a back road - the Kennedys are now stable and living in an apartment. But Megan and her daughter are ready for their forever home - a place where her daughter can make friends, sleep peacefully at night, and experience the stability she so desperately  deserves. Both say that partnering with Habitat is their dream come true. Construction on their home will begin in 2012.

Planning, fundraising, and family selections are now taking place for future builds
